Shopify NetSuite Integration: Options, Costs and How It Works (2026)

The three ways to connect Shopify and NetSuite, what syncs in each direction, listed prices for the NetSuite ERP Connector and Celigo, B2B support and the problems to avoid.

When Shopify and NetSuite don't talk to each other, someone on your team becomes the integration: rekeying orders, updating stock counts and fixing mismatched customers. Connecting the two removes that work and the mistakes that come with it. This guide covers the three ways to do it, what syncs in each direction, what it costs and how to avoid the usual problems.

The short answer: most brands use either Oracle's NetSuite ERP Connector, a certified app in Shopify's Global ERP Program, listed from about $200 a month, or an integration platform such as Celigo, listed from $7,800 a year. Custom builds on Shopify's and NetSuite's APIs make sense only for unusual workflows. Whichever you choose, most of the work is deciding which system owns each piece of data.

Three ways to connect Shopify and NetSuite

Option Built by Listed price Good for Watch out for
NetSuite ERP Connector Oracle NetSuite From $199.92/month (B2B plan $916.58/month) Standard order, product, inventory and customer sync, including B2B Fixed flows; complex logic may need extra work
Integration platform (iPaaS) Celigo, Patchworks, Pipe17 and others Celigo from $7,800/year Several stores or systems, custom mapping, error dashboards Annual contracts; flows to configure and maintain
Custom integration Your developers or agency Project cost Unusual workflows no app supports You own the code, monitoring and upkeep

Prices as listed on the Shopify App Store for the NetSuite ERP Connector and Celigo's NetSuite integration in October 2026. Both vendors may bill extra fees outside your Shopify invoice, and NetSuite licensing is separate. The NetSuite ERP Connector is one of the certified apps in Shopify's Global ERP Program.

What syncs, and in which direction

Shopify documents how its NetSuite ERP Connector moves data (Shopify Help Center):

Data Direction
Orders, catalogs and price lists, payment status, refunds Both ways
Products, inventory, fulfillments NetSuite to Shopify
Companies and customers, payment terms, PO numbers, draft orders, historical orders, transactions Shopify to NetSuite

In practice, NetSuite usually stays the source of truth for products, prices and stock, and Shopify is the source of truth for orders and customers who buy online. Writing that down for every type of data, before anything is built, prevents most integration problems.

B2B and wholesale

Shopify's B2B features (company accounts, catalogs, price lists and payment terms) can sync with NetSuite through the NetSuite ERP Connector's B2B plan or an iPaaS. Shopify warns that some integrations don't fully support B2B companies and catalogs, so confirm B2B support with the provider before you choose. Integration platforms such as Pipe17 and Patchworks also work with NetSuite for B2B data.

How a Shopify NetSuite project runs

  1. Map the data. List every record type (items, matrix items and kits, customers, orders, refunds, gift cards) and decide which system owns it.
  2. Match products. SKUs must match exactly between Shopify variants and NetSuite items; mismatches are the most common cause of failed orders.
  3. Map money. Payment methods, tax codes, discounts, shipping and Shopify fees each need a home in NetSuite, agreed with your finance team.
  4. Set the timing. Decide how often inventory and orders sync, especially before sales and launches when stock moves fast.
  5. Test in a sandbox. Run real orders, refunds, partial fulfillments and B2B orders through a NetSuite sandbox and a Shopify test store.
  6. Go live and monitor. Turn on error alerts and check the first days' orders against NetSuite line by line.

We typically plan 2–6 weeks per integration, depending on the number of stores, record types and custom rules. See our Shopify ERP integration services.

Common problems and how to avoid them

  • Duplicate customers. Agree how customers are matched (usually by email) before historical data moves.
  • Overselling. If inventory syncs too slowly during a sale, stock can run out in NetSuite while Shopify still sells it. Sync more often, or keep a small buffer.
  • Tax and accounting mismatches. Map tax codes and payment clearing accounts with your accountant before launch.
  • Silent failures. An order that fails to sync can sit unnoticed for days. Make sure someone receives error alerts and owns fixing them.
  • Customizations nobody documented. Custom NetSuite fields and scripts often expect data the connector doesn't send. List them during mapping.

Moving to Shopify with NetSuite already in place

If you're replatforming from Magento or Salesforce Commerce Cloud and already run NetSuite, the integration is part of the migration plan, not an afterthought. Historical orders, customers and products need to line up on day one. See our Magento to Shopify and Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Shopify migration pages.

Frequently asked questions

Does Shopify integrate with NetSuite? Yes. Oracle's NetSuite ERP Connector is a certified app in Shopify's Global ERP Program, and integration platforms such as Celigo, Patchworks and Pipe17 also connect the two.

How much does a Shopify NetSuite integration cost? As listed on the Shopify App Store, the NetSuite ERP Connector starts at $199.92 a month and Celigo's integration at $7,800 a year, plus setup and NetSuite licensing. A custom integration is priced as a project.

What data syncs between Shopify and NetSuite? Typically orders, products, inventory, customers, fulfillments, refunds, and for B2B, companies, catalogs, price lists and payment terms. Which direction each one flows depends on the connector and your set-up.

Does it work with Shopify B2B? Yes, with the NetSuite ERP Connector's B2B plan or an iPaaS that supports B2B. Confirm B2B support with the provider first.

Do I need Shopify Plus to integrate with NetSuite? Not necessarily. The NetSuite ERP Connector lists support for Shopify and Shopify Plus. Plus helps when you need higher API limits, several stores or advanced B2B.

How long does the integration take? We typically plan 2–6 weeks per integration, longer for several stores or heavy customization.
