NETO (MAROPOST) TO SHOPIFY MIGRATIONNeto to Shopify
Neto, now Maropost Commerce Cloud, runs many Australian online stores. When you want Shopify’s checkout, its app ecosystem and simpler day-to-day running, we replatform your Neto store to Shopify or Shopify Plus: products, customers, order history, content and Google rankings, with Afterpay, GST and Australia Post set up for launch.
(Why brands move from Neto)
Bigger ecosystem. Simpler running.
Neto was built in Australia and covers a lot in one platform. Brands usually look at Shopify when they want a faster checkout, more apps and partners to choose from, and less time spent on platform workarounds.
- 01
Shopify Checkout and Shop Pay
A checkout used across millions of stores and kept up to date for you, with Afterpay and other buy-now-pay-later options available.
- 02
The largest app ecosystem
Thousands of apps, including Australia Post, StarTrack, Sendle, Xero and MYOB connections, so most needs have a ready-made answer.
- 03
Easier for your team
The theme editor, sections and Shopify Flow let marketing and operations make changes without waiting on a developer.
- 04
Plus when you need it
Unlimited B2B catalogues, checkout customisation and expansion stores for New Zealand or other markets on Shopify Plus.

(Search rankings)
Keep your Google rankings
Neto and Shopify structure web addresses differently: Shopify uses fixed paths such as /products/ and /collections/. Most URLs change, so each one needs a 301 redirect to keep the traffic and links it has earned.
We crawl the live site before we start, map old URLs to new ones, import the redirects into Shopify and test them before launch. After go-live we track rankings on google.com.au daily and fix anything that slips.
- Crawl of every live URL, including products, collections, blog posts, filtered pages and PDFs
- One-to-one 301 redirect for every URL that has traffic or backlinks
- Page titles, meta descriptions, alt text and headings carried over
- Structured data (Product, Breadcrumb, Article) rebuilt on the new theme
- XML sitemap submitted in Google Search Console on launch day
- Rankings, 404s and crawl errors watched daily for the first 30 days

(FAQ)
Good
questions
Most mid-size stores take 6–10 weeks from audit to launch. Small catalogues with a standard theme can launch in 4–6 weeks; B2B stores with several warehouses and an ERP usually take 3–6 months. We confirm the timeline after the audit.
Yes. Maropost announced its acquisition of the Australian platform Neto in March 2021, and the platform is now sold as Maropost Commerce Cloud. We migrate stores under either name.
Yes. Afterpay connects through Shopify’s payment settings, Australia Post, StarTrack and Sendle through their Shopify apps, and Xero or MYOB through accounting apps. We set up and test each one before launch.
Not if redirects are done properly. Shopify changes your URL structure, so we create a 301 redirect for every indexed URL, carry over titles and descriptions, and track rankings on google.com.au after launch.
No platform can move passwords, because they are stored encrypted. On Shopify’s current customer accounts that doesn’t matter: customers sign in with their email and a one-time code, and see their imported order history.
Yes. Your Neto store keeps taking orders until launch day, and we run a final sync of new orders and customers just before the switch.
Not always. Plus makes sense for high volume, B2B price lists, checkout customisation or several storefronts. Shopify lists Plus from A$3,700 a month on a 3-year term. We recommend the plan during the audit and explain why.
Cost depends on catalogue size, the number of integrations, custom features and whether the design is rebuilt or refreshed. You get a fixed-scope quote after a free consultation and audit.
